Marcello Cuneo
Marcello Cuneo was born in Cagliari in 1933. He started a law school but then he discovered that sculpture and painting were his cup of tea. He undertook an 8-year collaboration with Gio Ponti on an international scale. He worked also with Lino Saltini. He draws for "La linea" of Lurago d'Erba, Cassina, Arflex and for the Comforto. He received several awards, including the Andrea Palladio award in 1967 for the Lombarda table lamp, the Guten Industrieform award in 1978 for the System 10 chair and a special mention at the 11th edition of the Compasso D 'Oro of 1979 for the Cross armchair.
