Design Profile

Enrico Davide Bona

A pupil of Angelo Mangiarotti and Giancarlo De Carlo, Enrico Davide Bona is a lecturer in Architectural and Industrial Design at the Faculty of Architecture of Genoa. Formerly editor-in-chief of the renowned magazine Casabella, he is the founder of EDB STUDIO, with offices in Milan, Genoa, and Paris.

Over more than forty years of activity in architecture and design, he has addressed highly complex themes across a wide range of scales: from large-scale architectural projects such as universities, libraries, hospitals, and residential buildings, to lightweight structures and industrial design products. His work consistently reflects an integrated approach in which design practice is deeply connected with educational and scientific research, carried out also in collaboration with international universities and institutions in Europe and worldwide.

His career is marked by a continuous dialogue between architecture, engineering, and design culture, where rigor of thought and experimentation coexist within a coherent and multidisciplinary vision.

In 1994 he was awarded the San Carlo Borromeo Prize for his career, together with Giuliano Colombini and Marco Zanuso, recognizing his contribution to architectural and design culture.
