Origami is the result of a balance between formal research, ergonomics and manufacturing precision. Crafted from bent laminated plywood, it reinterprets the stool through a clean architectural silhouette that combines lightness with exceptional structural strength.
The seat departs from the traditional flat surface, following a refined ergonomic profile designed to enhance comfort. Its edge is machined using variable-angle milling, creating a sculptural outline that changes character from every viewpoint.
The opening at the top is both a distinctive design feature and a functional handle positioned at the stool's centre of gravity, allowing it to be moved with ease. The same detail also enables efficient stacking by accommodating the transverse reinforcing element.
The geometry of the base creates two contact lines with the floor, allowing multiple stools to be aligned neatly in rows. This makes Origami equally suited to residential interiors as well as hospitality, contract and public spaces.
